Blow Dry vs Cut & Finish: What’s the Difference?
A blow dry is purely styling, whereas a cut and finish includes a haircut as well.
One of the most common questions we get is: “Should I book a blow dry or a cut & finish?” The short answer is simple: if you want styling only, book a blow dry. If you need your hair cutting as well, book a cut & finish.
What is a blow dry?
A blow dry is purely a styling service. Your hair is washed, dried and styled using brushes and heat tools as well as professional products to create a smooth, polished finish, volume or movement. No cutting is included.
Book a blow dry if you want:
Hair styled for an event
A smooth, glossy finish
Extra volume or bounce
A quick refresh between cuts
What is a cut & finish?
A cut & finish includes a consultation, shampoo, haircut and professional blow dry or finish. It’s designed to maintain or reshape your style and keep your hair looking healthy.
Book a cut & finish if you want:
Split ends removed
Your style reshaped
Length changed
Advice on maintenance and styling
Which lasts longer?
A cut & finish gives you both a fresh shape and a styled finish, so the overall result tends to last longer. A blow dry can last several days with the right aftercare, but it won’t change the shape of the haircut itself.
